Adopt the Black and tans tactics screams John Coulter of the Irish Star yet again(monday October 5th'09) This time he wants Britain and America to invade another peoples country to find nuclear weapons, where have we heard similar lines before from so called experts? This self-styled expert believes that the black and tans were Englands' best tool to try and defeat Irish Republicanism, we're sure the people of Cork would have a different view, they didn't just roll over and let the tans get away with burning their City and countryside murdering their people.These proud people rose up and took on the tans at every opportunity. Coulter quotes,"the tans became one of the greatest military successes of the last century and time has come for them to be formally recognized with an official memorial." Would it not be more appropriate to have a fitting memorial to all those who were murdered, butchered and raped by the tans.It tells it's own story when England hasn't acknowledged this regiment.Coulter also states"during the past conflict, the only reason republicans despised the B-specals, SAS or the elite RUC E4A was because they give the IRA doses of their own medicine." We remember the Irish Republican Army taking the war to them and blooding their noses! While talking up all these British Death Squads he seems to sit on the fence with his journalist flag of impartialism as a convenience.
